Is it possible to get this UI design... it's basically a different looking version of the one already there. I like this version better.

If there isn't a way, then how would I go about making my own, and maybe making it more compact, without taking away the beautiful art on the health and fatigue bars?

Thanks in advance. (I may use some of the art in my new Arcanum Desktop Theme, I'm working on).

What's the difference between that, and the one you're using? It's been a little too long since I played ARcanum to recall.

Well, there's that nifty little embossed star logo on the bottom left.

Is this one of those old IGN screenshots of the pre-final release of Arcanum where the UI was slightly different? I see the IGN logo down there...

Yes, I believe it is. But I like how that UI looks, much more so than the original that is on there now... is there not a way to use this one instead?

Look in the Arcanum1.dat/art/interface. There's a ton of stuff in there that's left over from the game's creation.

Also, you'll find interface.mes. By swapping out the listed art with what you want to see, you might be able to recreate one of the old interfaces.

Hmm... I know that Notepad opens .mes files, but what about .dat? How do you open those, to see what's inside, or be able to edit it?

To open .dat you have to use the program that is called Arcanun. You can find it in the download section.

I use DATBuilder and unpack into a new folder.
To view the .art files and extract or replace the BMP, Artview is the best.

That art has been lost. I have found another one in the resources some time ago though, it's probably an even earlier one. Or maybe it was never used at all (I've never seen a screenshot with such UI). Here's a mock-up.

Oh that's a little bit better when it comes to the top part. But the majority of stuff seems to look mostly like the same one I posted. Of course I understand that it's not though.
