After a slightly long wait a new version of the <a href="http://terra-arcanum.com/drog/dest/uap.html">Unofficial Arcanum Patch</a> is released. The list of changes is pretty big, and it includes a plenty of restored content in addition to the fixes. All changes are listed <a href="http://terra-arcanum.com/drog/dest/uap.html#081229">here</a>.
 
 The new version follows a slightly different format. Almost everything is now included in a single installer. Apart from the core patch, optional components are available, the most important of them being the <a href="http://terra-arcanum.com/drog/dest/extracontent.html">Extra Content module</a> (which is mostly based on the Extra Pack).
 
 The new installer is compatible with older versions, so if you have the UAP (with the Extra Pack or not) installed, it will detect it and upgrade without problems. However, the 1024x768 patch has been discontinued and must be <a href="http://terra-arcanum.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=14881">uninstalled</a>.
 
 Apart from the main patch you can also use the <a href="http://www.terra-arcanum.com/downloads/arcanum/fixes/HQ_Townmaps.exe">High Quality Townmaps' pack</a> and either version of the newly released High Quality Music.

I love your work on the patch, but honestly one of my favorite things you did was the resolution patch. Even the small difference up has a HUGE impact on the graphics and *feel* of the game.

I look forward to seeing what you have in store for the 1024x728 resolution feature.

Hmm. I want to translate the new patch to german too. How does it work with the new installer now? I am not really a expert in writing setup routines.

Also I liked the 1024x768px resolution too and it would be a shame if it can not be used anymore.

1. The patch requires a vanilla English version of the game, patched to 1.0.7.4 (the last official patch).
Any modifications that weren't meant for the current version of the UAP will most likely cause problems.
