Do you mean the wastes or the ruins? Finding the wastes is easy. Simply force the location of the bridge by travelling close to the border between the morbihan and the wastes. If you want to find the ruins, that's a whole other business. If you're playing the UAP, trying to force the location won't work. BUT you can get there by utilizing the Tulla-trick. Find Tulla, then travell OVER it and exit travell-mode when you're on top of it. If you do it right, you should end up inside Tulla rather than outside it. Then you solve the Pelojian business, and he'll tell you where the ruins are.
And what about the ruins? is there a way to find them without going to tulla? I need the blessing from the altar there to be able to become a master in persuasion... I went to willoughsby in Tarant, but he refused to give me the diplomatic mission... why? I only lack a quarter of point in persuasion, and other masters trained me when I lacked two quarters of point...
Because he's an asshole, that's why. Anyway, force the location by travelling around the letters saying "The Vendigroth Wastes" on the map. I believe it's close to the "groth" part, but I'm not sure.
You can most definately force the Vendigroth Ruins as I just did in my last game. I purposely built a character up to take maximum advantage of Velorian's blessing. He had 2 ranks of pickpocket, none in melee/dodge >was a thrower< would have had 2 in Persuasion but i needed three ranks to get Thorvald off the Isle of Despair.
