First of all before I get down to the unpleasantness of the situation I'd like to say a big hello to fellow fans of Arcanum.

I'm from the UK, Leicester to be precise.

    Now heres my problem.

I'm a huge fan of Arcanum. I have been in town today (Leicester is slightly smaller than Birmingham) and Arcanum was no where.

Dishearted yet not defeated I checked out UK sites.

GAME, Virgin Megastores, PC World, Gamestation. Nothing.

Only CEX had some copies though I would have to go half way across the country to get my copy (strangely they had no stock online).

I am 18 and currently unemployed and the idea of paying £30 for my all time favourite game from Amazon makes me shudder.

Now enough beating about the bush. I was wondering if anyone could send me the game? All I can offer is £5 due to my total lack of funds.

This is my final resort to find my lost love.

Go easy on the flaming lads...

    Hi there.

Well, I did some research on the net and found something interesting.
Why don't you just download the game from Isohunt?

Edit: WHAT THE FUCK HAS HAPPENED TO MY PROFILE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not a very good idea. If you can't really understand that it's not a good idea to link to warez, maybe you don't deserve a profile here, even though I liked your new avatar.

wow. that was both totally unexpected and completely hilarious. yay for mathboy!!!

that said, have you tried ebay? sure, it'll be more than your current funds, but that's what saving is for. remember, if you don't work for it, YOU WON'T APPRECIATE IT.

You can buy it from newegg at the price of $6.99. And there's no shipping fee if you download it from them. You could probably get it shipped as well, but I don't know if they ship to the UK, nor do I know what it would cost you.

I recently bought a spare copy from Gumboot:

Of course, I had to pay like 25 New Zeeland dollars for the shipping, but now I've two copies of Arcanum should something ever happen to my discs.

DE, why on earth are you buying copies of Arcanum from New Zealand? You do know, I hope, that there is a whole shelf of Arcanum copies in a shop in Stockholm, right?

I'm considering buying a sixth set of discs I saw on the discount rack in a games shop the other day. But I may be being just a little over cautious.

    Just a little bit, yes.

Given how careful I am with my Arcanum discs, chances are I'll never even need the backup copies I have.

Of course, it would be good to have a third one just in case...

Be careful thats how it started for me.

I've actually used up 2 sets of discs, one just stopped working and I could never figure out why since they didn't have a scratch on them and the other was borrowed and not returned. Unfortunately that set was one of the originals that came with the map of Arcanum and printed manual. All of the others I've had are the discs only sets.

Wow, haven't been here in a while.

I recently wanted to buy a second copy in a cd shop, but there aren't any left in any shop in Croatia. I guess I'll have to order it from somewhere. Stockholm? :D
