Im a huge fallout fan but before fallout . . .

    There was . . . .

The Road Warrior - god i love mel in the begining slamming on his brakes as the guy shoots the motor cycle guy best scene ever

The Death Lands by James Axler 50 different books (series) set 100 years after the world ends, guns army bases ancient technology and even a car or two- methinks that the fallout team has read these books

keep on dreaming. I have given up hope. And even if they do, they'll probably fuck up the game to make it moe sellable.

I like Fallout very much and don't mind talking about it but couldn't we just talk in the vault13 forum? It's for fallouts and this one here is for Arcanum AFAIK

At vault 13 it's preaching to your own community. Would you deprive the people here who never heard of Fallout A.K.A. GreatestGameThatEverWas of the chance to get to know this game ?
Besides it's not as if it's totally unrelated. The people that made Arcanum were part of the fallout team, only difference between the two games is that Arcanum is not as great as Fallout. otherwise the same

Not to mention that this forum's description on the index page reads:
So anyway... Favorite post apocalyptic stuff? Hmm. I guess Tina Turner's weird accent is one of my favorites. "THUNDAH DOME!"

I'm not a big Stephen King fan, but I liked his book The Stand.

It was not my point that one can not discuss Fallout here. It's just that it's second topic about fallout in the last 2-3 days and I'd just like this forum to remain Arcanum forum and not change into Fallout forum as more and more people will be posting Fallout topics. Basically calmo down.

PS. And don't read 'post anything you like directly"

Weeeeelll, did anyone see A Boy and His Dog?
This movie stars ( a very young ) Don Johnson in a Post Apocalypso world travelling from settlement to settlement with his dog and getting involved in all kinds of situations. This is as close a match as I have ever seen to the Fallout world even if the movie wasn't that great.

One thing I miss a bit in Arcanum is the grim gloomy dialogues and quests you have in Fallout. There was more tragedy i.e. more real life stuff that sucked me all the ,ore into the game.
I guess Sierra is a more family oriented company then Interplay.
Troika did manage to sneak in a church orgy and a brothel with sheepe. HaHa. My guess that Sierra didn't know about that one.

Hah. Well... whores are euphemistically called "seamstresses". Maybe Troika told Sierra that Bessie was there solely as a source for wool.

Man I got wasteland (finally, been looking) and now its all cnofusing, sob, maybe if you start with fallout you cannot go back to those confusing pre historic games...

And when i play it sometimes says read paragraph #something... where's that?

All the cussing and badness in fo makes it alot better too, I cant quit it when i start playing... Arcanum's (along with the rest of fantasy worlds rpgs) is mostly a good children's story. All the stupid little jokes in FO were cool too, and numerous easter eggs.

I think ill go rent boy and dog now... i was gunna say that Postman is a post appocalyptic movie, but it sucks really bad so... don't watch it. :p
