what to do with seemingly useless inventory items

i'm carrying around a lot of stuff that i can't use or sell. some of it has to do with past quests... for instance, i still have the crystal ball from a certain quest in tarant. shopkeepers don't want it and i don't either. can i just throw it in a garbage can?

i hate any kind of encumbrance.

I think this might go in my sig. Also, I don't know if you are an item-horder like myself, but if you want, you know the "rat quest" where you go into the warehouse in Tarant and kill rats? All of the containers in there never expire (or whatever you call it), so you can safely store anything you'd like there, in any of the containers (even the garbage can by the door).

You could also write new schematics that have garbage items as ingredients.

 

fuck yeah, son! I have been using plough's warehouse since the very first time in Tarant. I dont know why, but I started exploring the city by going south from the West Garrillon bridge, and went right there. There are like 5 or 6 containers, so you can sort your stuff there, like tech items, quest items, books, armor, etc. That way, if you later figure out you need something, you can get it.

 

I always get the "house" (room) in Blackroot and use it as my base of operations. Not only has it got two containers, it has a bed as well.

 

I rarely sleep in this game. I figure that my character can do that when I'mn't playing the game. I'mn't going to pay for them to.

 

I see sleeping as a great way to recharge health and stamina, especially if you're in the wild. Why waste potions when you can simply click your health back?

 

The inn? or Payne's residence? or Tyron's? Which one?

It's because if it has been over a week since the last post it's because the issue has been resolved and/or answered. There's no need to go digging up a resolved thread after a week has past, much less 5 months after the last post. Don't grave dig.
