Recently, I decided I wanted to play a barbarian, so I figured that Torian Kell would be a good follower to have. But every time I enter his chamber, his skeleton attacks me. What must I do to make him not attack me?
A Smoking Jacket and/or an Amulet of Beauty works too if you don't wish to spend/waste character points on Beauty.
try having the dog wait outside the room, then go in and talk to torian. it was a long time ago (4 years?) that I had this problem.
destroy all the other monsters clear the whole area and get his key your alighnment must be evil then enter
Hi! This is my first post, and I just revived Torian Kell! My character is 89 on the good scale, and I could talk to him without him attacking. This is with a beauty of 8, and the reaction blessing. I had Virgil, Magnus, Vollinger, and Dog in my party.... Couldn't get Torian to join - he said my char was too righteous?
You're too good. Not to revive him, but for him to join. I just noticed that I'm wearing the Dread armor. That stupid armor lowers one's reaction modifier. Goddamn it.
By the time I found my first dread armor in loot, I had already found better magic armor, so I never needed to use it. I generally stay away from any stuff with negative modifiers... Don't want any followers accidently permanently cursed, like Virgil was by that sword in the closed Tarant sewers...
don't worry too much, it's only the sword in the sewers and the dark helm in Malachi Rench's castle in ashbury that are only permanently dangerous. If you wear anything else, any negative consequences will be manifestly clear (i.e. you will become seriously poisoned and/or die)
That was a big problem with Virgil. His dex dropped 4 points! I hate having to reload and go back a long ways, I didn't find out 'til much later... I'm not much for replaying. So yes I would rather not use the stuff than take a chance...
