I just hope they can present the whole 'tech vs. nature/magic/spirit' thing better than Silverfall. Of course, to me they'll always have to live up to Arcanum, which probably means I'll be disappointed anyway, but still. Also, let's hope it's not just another hack 'n' slash.
It's not a full-fledged RPG like Arcanum was. From what I can gather from the game description, it's a fast paced action game with a fixed player character. It might include some RPG elements like choices and consequences though.
So... it's vaguely like GTA story and character wise? My god! A steampunk where we could fuck and kill hookers!! Oh, I am SO having wet day dreams.
Sounds like it'll be a steampunk themed Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, which I guess wouldn't be too bad. Though that would leave virtually no replay value unless there are branching storylines. But I wouldn't begin to compare it to Arcanum just because of the setting. They'll be two different games entirely from the looks of it. Their version of a "steam engine" looked pretty interesting.
You didn't get a tattoo of the NWN logo before it was released. I'm ensured to win every nerd contest ever because of that fact.
