Schrek's Multi-Barreled Pistol

Okay, with Schreck's schematic, can you actually read that at some point? I know that it's a Thieves Underground quest item, but can you actually make use of it? I've noticed with the Arcanum desktop theme that the icons feature items from the game (such as the Machined Plate), but can you actually make the pistol? I'd hate to think that the Looking Glass Rifle (I still haven't installed the patch, too lazy, have downloaded it though)is the best gun in the game. I know that Droch's Warbringer is damn good though, just isn't as good at the LGR (at the moment at least).

Also, why don't followers like Sebastian max out their technology trees? They easily could.

I have the same problem, and have more the requirements for that schematic.

 

I'm pretty sure it's only for the quest.

 

So far as I know is the schematic for Shrek's pistol only a quest item and you can't build it. But there's a more detailed thread on this topic - perhaps you'll find there the answers you need. X

About the theme, who made it?

 

You can edit the shopkeeper inventories (using the same file as the shopkeeper inventory hack on this site) to include Shreck's multi-barrelled pistol. Unfortunately, they didn't bother to edit its stats (I think they're the default pistol stats) because it wasn't supposed to be in the game. It does 1-6 damage (I think), and fires 1 bullet per shot at a pretty slow speed. The Fine Revolver is better.
