Hi everybody, I'm getting the altar stone for the 2nd Stringy Pete quest. I've found the stone in tobin's(?) quarry after killing the apes but can't pick it up. It weighs 1000 stone but if I try to pick it up it says 'not enough room', even if I have nothing in my inventory. I've only 8 ST but thats enough for 1000 stone, so what's the problem. I've even tried getting Mungo to lift it. However, when I talk to him (while standing right next to the stone), he just says "we need to find the stone" and "we don't want to be here". Have I got the wrong stone? How did everyone else do this quest? Is my quest bugged out?
You can try jsut standing around with Sogg, or his stuff empty ... the AI should eventually pick it up, I think actually Raven picked it up when I did it. Or maybe Torian, i can't remember .. .but it pissed me off, i was taking stuff out of my inventory so I could pick i tup, and i was flipping to somebodies and there it was.
Hi Al, I've been lurking here for about a week but I haven't got round to posting before. I wonder if I'll get to be a master or anything on this board? I'm a coconut master on the BG forums! BTW, I can't be arsed to start a new topic, but does anyone know of a good tech throwing weapon? I'm going to start a tech-thief character and I need a good weapon for him.
Answer to the original poster ... The stone is *big*. It will take up most of the slots in your inventory. So you really need to empty your inventory (you don't need to completely empty it, but you may as well ...).
Thanks Thanks guys, For some reason I couldn't pick it up, even with an empty inventory. After hanging around for a bit, Sebastian grabbed it for me, fortunately. PS - Chakram Star, where is it? I've only seem magic shakrams, not any tech ones.
The mage guy in Tarant (Smithy Mage) has a Chakram, that is neither tech nor magickal ... I thinka f ew other do as well. And throwing for techs is usually bombs and the sort from what I can surmise. you might skill it up to master, and then pickpocket azrams star once finishing the quest.
Master at Throwing... This is what I did. I finished the quest, and then used a fate point to pickpocket the thing back from her. I figured I needed it more than she does. Heheh...
Hehehehe, my brother just killed her. She's a pushover really, even with Azram's Star. Too bad she won't join you once she completes her "contract".
