Hi all, I've got a strange bug that's making the game very difficult to play, and I was wondering if anybody's seen or heard of anything like this, and if so, what to do about it. Almost every time I'm in a dungeon, when I try to exit, the game goes dead. But it's a weird kind of dead. The clock does not appear, and the playing field goes dead. When I scroll in any direction after it goes dead, it makes repeated graphic lines in whichever direction I scroll, kind of like window blinds. But I can still hit escape and shut the game down. Worse, whenever this happens, it seems to corrupt the save I'm using, the one I loaded the present game from (don't even ask me how that's possible.) I've never touched a save editor, btw. I also seem to get quite a few random crashes. The game never stops, it always crashes to the desktop. As you might guess, it's making the game tough to play. I've tried it before and after the patch, and it makes no difference. My system is pretty standard: PII550 Voodoo3000 16MB Creative sound card (128 PCI) Windows 98 Any suggestions? Thanks, The_Hound
Heard of it? Ohyes. It's your graphics card, I think. Try running Arcanum in safemode. That should take care of the problem.
Yeh, that used to hppen on my old TNT2. Running it in safe mode works. So does buying a GeForce2
