Are there any experienced Diablo II: LoD players? I need advice.

Is there any way to pass an item from one of my characters to another? I've been playing as a Sorceress, and found a unique flail that is useless for the Sorc, but could be ideal for my other character, a Paladin. Is there any way to pass it on to him?

    In single player, there isn't.

i'm guessing it's the age old way of "give it to somebody you trust, switch characters, and get it back", or possibly "drop it in a predetermined nowhere spot, switch characters, and pray like fuck no one gets it before you"

That's why you have friends you can play LAN with. Or possibly another computer you could install LoD on.

Is it still usable on the same computer with a network feedback driver?

If you have two computers it's easy, you just need to do a three-step trade [something I've actually done]. You have two different accounts, one with your two important characters, the other one with an unimportant character. You pass the item to the unimportant character, log out, log in with the paladin, and pass the item back. If you don't've the ability to do that, pm me, and I may be able to help you out. I'ven't played in eons, but I was a member of the LOA whilst I played.

You don't even need to log on to Battle.net. All you need is two computers and then create a LAN game with one of your characters and have the other one join (yes, characters can be copy/pasted between computers, look for the files in the SAVE folder in your Diablo directory).

Unless it's a ladder battlenet account. If memory serves, those weren't on your computer.

But if its on Battlenet it'd be easy to trade by giving the flail to a friend*

*Not someone you met on Battlenet 5min ago.

Am I the only one who prefers playing games like Diablo in singleplayer?

I've got all the Diablo games and I've never played them on Battlenet, I have played the odd LAN game though.

Yes, but we've already concluded that we're really the same person trying to live on two hemispheres at once.

That's why going to Australia is such a hopelessly complex procedure for me. You must act as a counterweight. We must cross the equator at the exact same time in a process involving atomic clocks, lubricant, lots of fat people yelling, Charles Bronson playing the harmonica and for some strange reason, a goat painted blue.

    Otherwise the sun will implode.

Wait, are you guys trying to take the title of "most awesome duo" away from Chuck and Mr. T?

You can't be a duo if you can't be on the same side of the world.

We aren't a duo, we're elements of the same metaphysical being.

Ah, yes...Normally, the same matter cannot occupy the same space. Such contact would result in immediate self destruction, or more, depending on how awesome you guys are.

I think the only reason Bender was safe is because one of his "selves" was gold plated.
