Stat Question - Dex is in RED...

Ok, my DEX is in red - 6 ! but it should be 9 or so. Nothing in my log about it (as there are marks about my -2 beauty (scars)). Why? What would cause my dex to be low like this. I'm not encumbered, etc...

Ideas please!

how helpful is that? Did you not read? Nothing in my log about any injury unhealed.... except a scar. my HP are maxed, etc. so where else to 'check it, dude?'

Are you carrying any hexed equipment? What do you have equipped?

 

Did you ever accept an offer to drink from somebody in a bar? I accepted like, 2 offers from (probably Molochean Hand) people in the bars that ask you about the IFS Zephyr, and after that my intelligence, constitution, and dexternity were all down to like 3 to 6.

Scars can be healed with bandages. They can be found in general stores. Just give them to Virgil or someone who can heal you and ask for some fixing up.

What will a hexed dagger do to me?

 

I have leather armour, a sword of defense, and a magick ring, plus dwarvin gauntlets and regular boots.

It's been DAYS since i had a drink. The only stats that are RED are DEX and Beauty.

I do have stuff in my pack, but that should not effect my stats, right?

 

Well, as Xtz said (read: misspelled), you could have a curse. Check your blessings and curses. Are you strong enough to be wielding your weapons? Maybe that has a penalty if your strength isn't high enough? And no, just holding onto stuff won't give you its powers, maybe with the exception of a few things like the statue of Geshtianna or Whysper's Gem.

 

I'm wondering if perhaps this is a bug - a stat that did not 'return' after being decreased by a drink or a trap of some sort...

I think I'll go to the tavern and have a beer... then let that wear off....

Oh - there are NO curses... just a blessing and 'you've completed the ancient game'.

 

If its a bug its the first I've heard of it. Do any of your past scars indicate maiming?

 

nope. and the bandages healed the scars - my beauty is back to 10. When I took a beer the stats changed... some went up, others down.. but when it wore off (waited 2 hours) the dex was still "RED". Nothing indicates that I was maimed...

Did you at any time equip an unidentified sword from the Tarant sewers (the ones that are "blocked off")?

That sword has a Dex penalty, and it doesn't appear to go away once you unequip. I accidentally handed it to Gar, and he wielded it - I had to dump him eventually.

 

I just got that Sword in Tarant, and my DX has only gone down by 1.
Also, what does MSR mean cause the sword has MSR -18 and i dont know what i means.

 

heem I will try last time. Knight saber did you by any chance get the name from bubble gum crisis?
and msr means minimum strengh requirement
if it is not enough you will get penalties to hit.

There is curses! after u kill that fortune teller in tarant u get a curse, -1 to charisma!

MSR18 means that u have to have a minumum strengh of 18 to use the weapon in his maximal abilitis.

AND stop fixing my lenguage! i dont speak a lot in english and trying as hard as i can to speak proporly!!!!!!!!!!!!
