Wheel Clan and Kathorn Crystal

When I was on the Isle of Despair, I stole the schematics for the special Wheel Clan glasses. I got the materials and made a pair but they didn't appear in my inventory. The glasses and kathorn crystal just dissappeared. Now I need another crystal to try again. Where can you find them besides the Black Mountains (which I've searched to no luck)? Thanks!

Kathron spectacles are 4 slots, not 2 like regular specs... so you prolly dropped them and kathrons are all over the place

 

I have the same experience. Several times I asked Magnus to make an Autosceleton key, but I coldn't find the item in his inventory. The only method I know is to make saves often and try to reach your goal

Well it might still be there(in your inventory). Just quicksave then quickload.
I noticed that most of the times the autoskeleton key and sometimes Magnus Bracelet were colored black, same as the inventory so you can't see it, but its there, occupying space...BUG???

About that bracelet, what is it for????

 

This strange black inventory has happened to me once too. I had two spaces taken up by absolutely nothing, and no matter how I re-arranged my items I couldn't get anything in there.

 

It was the autoskeleton key probably since it normally occupies 2 spaces.Just quicksave and quickload and it will be fine. Am glad that someone noticed that 2.. Having someone verify it was nice..:smile:

 

if u have magnus on your team and u go to the ring place the braclet will disapear

 

It's probably another schematic bug like the medical arachnid schematic. You aren't actually supposed to make those yourself, you are sujpposed to bring a kathorn crystal to the optometrist in ashbury and ask him to make them for you. I found this out totally by accident ( I persuaded Thorvald to give me his glasses ) when I went into the shop and got a dialog option to ask him to make glasses from Kathorn Crystal for me...

*sigh* as long as this game was in developmenty, you'd think some of these totally obvious bugs would have been fixed... It's not like there are 10,000 schematics in the game - is it really so much to ask that they all at least WORK????

 

Wheel Clan Glasses (Again!)

Being a natural-born explorer (aka smartarse) I ran around the map getting XP, and lots of loot. Now I need the K crystal, and I've sold it. All the sites mentioned (skeleton wreck, mines, ancient temple) are looted AND NONE OF THE SHOPS HAS ANY!) I can't even get back to the island and steal them. And my useless dwarf can't make them from the schematic.

Am I doomed?

 

you can just use dkoepps inventory hack to get the kathorn crystals

 

use the see invisible spell or the find traps spell in the BMC mines

Actually I do have 3 -- I didnt sell them
cuz I thot they would be for some tech item.

The last one I fould as treasure in the undead castle in Ashbury -- dont remember where in there so I guess u will have to kill everything in there systematicly....

Of course if these treasures are semi-randomly generated, then it might not be there in your parrallel universe .......
