I really enjoyed "Pirates!" but that's as far as my Sid experience goes.

Civ 4 is a bug-ridden piece of crap that was released way too early, with too little quality control. The sheer variety and number of problems reported is staggering, and it will not play on my computer. In fact, the patch actually made it worse.

That's what I get for buying a new game.

I've already played shitloads of civ 4. Then switched over to mp and played some cooperative with friends from irc. It was really, a lot of fun and then some.

After a while I noticed my gaming became extremely mechanical, so I decided I needed a brake. That was over 2 weeks ago.

We should hook up some games over here, cooperative is really a lot of fun on noble difficulty. Anyone up for a game? Rosie? :D

It doesn't matter what religion you use, they're all the same. Founding religion allows you to build a special building, and using missionaries etc to influence diplomacy is harder than it seems.

I played a couple rounds on Civ 4, I like it. Even though the Civ style games are more my moms than my own.

I think I own every Civ game after Civ 2.

If only they could combine the Civ 4 game and Civ 2 Test of time. Where you can send off your space ship to another world, build city’s there, meet alien races. and go into a realm of futuristic technologies while still controlling your civilization on earth.

The Civ series are just crap, I agree with you on that Gabriel. Age of Empires, and Age of Kings! Those games are good!

Mine is phil. creative. I usually end up with 3/4 of the wonders thanks to great engineers and an odd great merchant here and there is great to set up funds for war. The most useless trait IMO is religious... If you know the game, you will probably end up changing civics around 10 times. 10 extra turns in terms of development aren't really the edge I'm looking for.

i'm probably gonna switch soon, but the religious thing was good for learning the particulars... *runs away for just... one... more... turn...*

So is Age of Empires III, I downloaded the demo(I am thankful I didn't run out and buy it) from eight different sites. Each time I got video card errors when my card isn't one of those listed that isn't compatible, so I went to the official AOE boards and the technical help section is full of bug reports, sound problems, graphic problems, etc.

I have played Pirates, I enjoyed it. Much better than the three hours I spent beating Tradewinds 2.

I have never played any of the Civilization games, does four have a demo? (I tried a few sites earlier today actually but didn't find one.)
