Okay, I having experimented fairly extensively with various character types, I think it's safe to say that not all characters are created equal. If I really wanted to powergame my way through Arcanum, it would be fairly easy, but kind of dull. So the question I pose to those of you who've played all the way through the game various times - how much power do you really need? I've heard it said more than once that you'll reach level 50 early, and that the late game is fairly easy. I find this believable from my experience, but how true is it? If I created a character with only mediocre combat skills and few companions, could I still get through the game? If I let my followers handle the combat (or avoided combat altogether), would I still level quick enough via sidequests? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
the most experience I got was from killing the monsters by myself in the varouis mines and dungeons. and if you get the super bless you become allpowerfull I was only a gunslinger then I became master dodge/meele and bow. and had 250 hitpoints at that point mr boss was nothing more than a fly. for people that have nothing to do against stealing the game is easy it's like stealing the bozar in fallout in new claifornia republics as soon as you get there and there is no better gun than bozar and also it's cool to be a diplomat since you get alot of skills weapon realted from the mega bless
i think that the game is way too easy if you are a mage. a couple of blasts of harm or lightning bolt and you can kill everything. much more challenging to be a gunslinger.
well harm owns... like 40 damage a pop to kerghan. for what? 5 mana? heh pure anything can really own... melee, mage. but i find it much more fun in real time with stuff like a theif, negotiator, archer, with mixed/ obscure skills. and yes... your followers can carry you through the game... oh... with my negotiator, i reached arronax/void/kerghan at lvl 42... (teleported a lot more then i worldmapped) still owned w/ 7 followers , i just back away from the attacks and cast spells (and the most damaging spell i have is harm hehe )
why would you want to kill the boss fast since he only does 2 points per hit? and mostly misses? I was expert dodge 4.5 and skipped the master quest
