    ....

I don't like games which switch focus from the gaming aspect to one of money making. I applauded blizzard for starting bans in WoW over the subject.

It's a game, it shouldn't be a form of work.

*shrugs* if it pays it pays. I don't've a problem with it. I think it's crap that companies charge for games, and then charge for the gameplay, and don't've a single-player campaign.

Virtual real estate is an interesting concept, and I suppose could grow with time. If he's paid that much, then "develops" the resort, he could potentially re-list it later and actually turn a profit. Bizarre, but a company that allows you to turn in-game currency back in to real currency had better not go bankrupt.

    Here's my plan.

    1) Create a MMORPG with land and real estate to customize, sell and buy.

    2) Charge a set monthly fee for playing it, and only accept USD (because I reckon more people around the globe are willing and able to exchange their local currency into USD than SEK).

    3) The game gets insanely popular, with millions of players worldwide. Virtual real estate is bought and sold using in-game currency, which on demand can be exchanged into real money. I will make sure that the exchange rates are immensely profitable and that in-game business is outrageously lucrative.

    4) I will get a printing press for banknotes. And only pay people Russian rubles.

True enough, True enough, although I would argue normally, I simply want to get out of this to see what mag has to say before I reply any further to this, as the timing of my post was off anyway.
