what does it mean when an item's "magic power available" is 0%? how do i restore the magic power in an item? thanks!
A +10 sword if you had 50% MPA would dish out +5. With 0% MPA it would just act like a normal old sword. So basically take the magic property in parentheses multiply that by the MPA and it should yield the power of the item to you. As for the first example 10 * .50 = 5. I hope this helps.
thanks!! so if i find a sword with 0 mpa, it's basically a plain old sword? there's no way to raise it??
You probably are a tech. character. This will make any magical item to fail. There is just not enough magic in u! You know that vertical line on the right side of the character screen? The arrow must be on "magic"(top) side of it. You will have to learn a few spells to balance your technological knowledge... I hope this answers your question.
The "magic power available" has more to do with your magic aptitude than with the item. In other words, it reflects how much of the item's magic bonus is available to you, based on your magic affinity. I.e. 100% Magical Aptitude = 100% Magic Power Available = 100% of the bonus in the parenthesis.
Novalis, no I don't believe you can refill say a staff of healing 20 charges. But a mages dagger with +10 mana will recharge over time. You cast a spell for 5 FT points then wait a few min then it is back up to 10. Yes, if you raise the magic app. the MPA will go up. Also, if you are a small a small tech some magic items may have some MPA. It depends on the item.
