Hi all This my second time playing arcanum and since it's probably my last I don't want to miss out on anything. Both my charactes were unable to start the romance dialogue. Raven didn't offer to heal me after I killed the dark elf queen , just told me she was honored to join me on my quest. Right now I'm playing a human male, 100% good, 100% technologist with no persuation skills and 9 in beauty and charisma (raised each to 15 using a hack..didn't have an effect ). Could it be that I wandered for too long before I returned to Quintarra ( more than a year). Is there a time limit on the quest? Thanks in advance
I know it depends on what you say to Raven after the first time you talk to the Silver Lady. She'll say something about how brave you are to take this quest upon yourself. You must reply that virtue and valor allow you to act in no other way in order for her to fall in love with you.
Thanks for the reply. I definetly chose the honorable reponse to which she just replied 'I'm glad' . Maybe it has something to do with her initial reation towards me. I had to apologize to her (and other elves) so they wouldnt be suspicious (probably due to the dwarf i had in my party)
No, she will romance with an Elf, Half-Elf (if you have fan-made bug fix), Human, and Half-Orc. Her reaction to you might have had something to do with it. I don't recall her ever having a "suspicious" reaction to me when I first met her, so somehow you did something wrong that made all the Elves in Quintarra dislike you. (suspicious)
I seem to remember it only working for humans and elves, Also the few times that I bothered with it I was using magically alligned characters.
Out of memory I believe you need to have a good disposition with her from early on and always be corteous, and go through all those little cuddly-wuddly conversations in various locations, like the seashore promenade in Caladon. But then again, I've only wooed her once, with an elven wizard, who didn't get the ending slide I believe you're supposed to get depicting you and Raven living happily ever after. I think I got a bit upset about that.
Using the Molochean Hand(i dont think is like this you say) amulet makes the elf's in Quintarra suspicious?
I've romanced her many tiems and never seen such a slide. Perhaps it is never actually implemented in the game.
I do not believe any such slide exists. You can see all of them in the Slides directory of Arcanum.dat.
Then I'm basing my presumption on a rumour. A pity though, as it would make sense for that slide to exist.
There really aren't any slides related to you at all. It's all about other people. But does the hero get any credit? No. Never a damn bit. Those damn bastards live their lives out, crawling by their pitiful time in this world, and the hero gets to almost die and not get anything out of it. He doesn't get a parade! He doesn't get a statue! He doesn't get to have a threesome with Raven and Bunny! DAMN IT ALL TO THE VOID, HE DOESN'T GET SHIT!
Not so... not so. They do mention you directly (but not by name of-course ; in a few of the slides. "The advice YOU gave him..." and some such rubbish. Now I'm not a big fan of Bunny. I mean... well err... uh, nevermind. I'd rather uhm... use my persuasive skills to get Raven and Zan to uh... kiss and make up. With me. Yes, I am indeed a pervert.
