Stubborn Chests

Ok ...on my 4th (or is it 5th) time to start all over in Arcanum ..I thot everything was going great ..Stayed away from cursed swords like the plague, saved in multiple spots frequently ..etc ..but now ..

I'm in the mountain/cave thingie (above Tarent) and all the chests (Dwarven Chests) in there say unlocked, and when I click on them..nothing happens ..I can't open them

Any idears?

i have this problem once and what i did is to delete extra saved files and reduce all my save files to three then restart the computer and ...walla the chest opens

 

i forgot, i hope this helps ^_^

I think Im gonna reinstall Arcanum

Now I cant uninstall it ..I get an error
I cant repair it either ..still get an error
"Can write to F:SierraArcanum"
I cant even delete it and install it either

*sighs*
Ya know ..I wish this was a crap game ..that way when all this stuff happens to me, I can just say F-It ..But the game is so awesome I cant say that

Uninstall it from the control panel...

either that or you can repair the damaged files by doing an autorun and try to reinstall the game again...

Such a long time to do that again though.

Well I got the game to reinstall *Had to delete the directory, and do a repair*

Yet the chests still wont open or barrels

I think I'm gonna shove Arcanum on the back burner till a new patch comes out ..
Just tired of finishing all the sub quests and what not ..till after Tarent ..then having to start all over again because of some unfixable bug
I guess I'm some sort of bug magnet or something

I'm playing unpatched, and yet I (inexplicably) haven't had any problems with it. Maybe it's because I've got an older computer... most games seem to work better on my system than the new one I use of the Internet... I think maybe it's got to do with WINDOWS ME.
