Are the Master Trainers actualy "masters" of their skill? That is to say, if one were to check their character sheet would they have Master Status in their correspoding skill? I ask this cos I was thinking of playing for the umpteenth time and taking all the Masters as "forced followers" using the DW+RS permamancy trick just to see how the game would play out...
The Trick: 1) Cast A Duration Spell on someone, or yourself. 2) Cast Reflection Sheild on yourself. 3)Cancel the Duration Spell. 4)Cancel the Reflection Shield. The Duration Spell should now be permamant! Duration Spells ----------------- Agility of Fire Strength of Earth Purity of Air Vitality of Water All the Body of spells Dominate Will Hasten Summoning Spells Illusion Spells Succour Beast Cunjure Elemental Spells etc... From what I have tested, this will only work with spells that are cast on a person or that summon something. It doesn't however work on Wall of Fire, Poison Vapours or spells like that (at least it hasn't with me)
It's any non instant spell basically. In this case you cast that domination spell, they you cast reflection shield on the person you dominated. Then cancel the domination and then the reflection shield. It's expensive, fatigue wise. But you get a premanent follower. I would still rather just insta-make me some vorpal rabbits.
A fair point but think of the possibilities: - Cat Lord (Tigers, Cougars, White Tigers...oh my) - Bear Master (Polar, Ancient, Black, Grizzly) - Old McDonald (Mad Cow, Dirty Pig, Bah Bah Black Sheep and a 40th level Rockin Chicken with Haste, AoF, HH, SoE)
