4 followers with 12 charisma?!

Well, this is weird.

I have a gnome with a 12 charisma. I have been running around with Virgil, Sogg and Dante.

When I got to the Schuyler's I told Virgil to wait and picked up Magnus. After I left the Schuyler's I told Magnus to wait and re-picked up Virgil.

A few days later I stopped by there and saw Magnus standing under the sign. I talked to him and to my surprise he rejoined me. I now have 4 followers despite having only a 12 charisma. Anybody ever have this happen before (not counting temporarily raising your charisma to pick up a follower, followers that don't count like Dog, etc., none of which apply in this case) ?

 

Dante is a free follower, he does not take a follower slot after the first time you tell him to wait and then rejoin. Another such follower later in the game is Jormund.

1)Make one of your followers wait.

2)Get Dante to join

3)Tell Dante to wait

4)Tell your follower to rejoin

5)Tell Dante to rejoin
