First the hint , I'm sorry if someone allready posted this but I haven't stumbled on to it yet so here goes: 'The best indentification procedure' : You take any non-indentified item to any shop , start bartering and just drop the item on the ground, exit the barter and pick it up , works like a charm. Second, can anyone tell me where I can find one of those Li'thani objects so I can begin the God quest?
The eleven trader in Ashbury, he's outside the glasses shop. Sometimes the dwarf herbelist, rare. The eleven bowyer in Quintarra. All these sell Li'thani. Only the dwarf will talk to you if you have a high tech rating.
So, whilst in the bartering interface, you drop the unidentified object and when you leave the bartering interface and pick up the object, it'll be identified? Swell. And deadcheap. I didn't know that cheat yet. Gonna check it out when I find the time to play another game of Arcanum.
Becouse I'm not having any luck with those shops , could anybody offer me some other solution like a fixed location of a Li'thani or some way to add it to my inventory and the like....
Why would someone need to cheat to identify? 100 gold is quite affordable really. Besides, there's always Risteeze's chest...
True, but you allways need to go to one of those old hags with a caravan to get them indentified, and they are never on the ways I pass by, so this way I simply, cheaply and quickly get them indentified. That and considering that some don't even no how to get indentification I'd say this is usefull.
@ Nik Reaper: your "hint" doesn't even work! I've just tried it with Ristezze and with some merchant in Tarant and it doesn't work with my version (patched 1074). Are you sure this is the way to do it?
He probably doesn't have the patched version. I don't see what's so hard about talking to the old women, there is one in every city, you just have to know where.
That's right, I don't use a pached version, but that's the way it's done. O, by the way what are all the things fixed in that patch? And one other thing, how come nobody ever complemented those tech manuals in Terentian universety, a tech character can make allmost anything with five of those of the same school in his inventory. And please don't tell me that they pached up that too.
Some bugs fixed. Some items stats altered, some items are no longer possible to pick pocket without completing a related quest. Hand Cannon empowered to 5-35 damage, Looking Glass Rifle scaled down to 10-30. Bronwyck's gun weirdly rebalanced to do both fire and electrical damage that sums up to roughly the same total. Repeater rifle became a "mechanized gun for poor"- 5-12 damage + basic speed 14 (adds up to 19 with apprentice bonus). Elven Bow and Ellumun's bow now show correct damage stats- 1-10. Stuff like that. What do you mean by "complemented"? All people here know how to use them.
Right, thanks although looking at those stats I lost any desire to get it patched. The reason why I mentioned the tech-manuals is because when I played the game for the first time I came to this site and read just about all in liberary and many posts to see if I missed something and to see why the autonomon gunner doesn't work, I never read anything about them but I read that someone had Magnus in his company, knows smithy but couldn't make a goggled helm, so why isn't there a section about them in the Liberary it could have been usefull the first time I played?
