Shade's Beach Schematic

I'm wondering if the gun schematic you can find on shade's beach (northern tip of isle of despair) is any good. I am, of course, too lazy to get a character to that point and find out myself...

 

It's a good mid-game weapon that does a fair ammount of fire or electricity damage and looks nice.

 

Thanks! I think what the schematic says about it makes it sound a bit better than it really is...

 

For me at least, it can almost only hit stationary targets.

 

Perhaps you should consider putting a point into firearms.

 

It sucks, to be honest. Too slow, too short ranged, shoots slow moving projectiles and therefore useless in real time mood AND can hit your own followers if they are standing between you and your target. The Hand Cannon does roughly the same damage (though normal, not fire), has longer range and is faster (one less action point per shot). The only up side is that its MSR requirements are very low, so you can give it to Franklin Payne who cannot use a Hand Cannon.

I didn’t find the gun worth wile. Between its accuracy, speed, range, and damage it sucked. Or at least until I made it not require ammunition, now it’s ok.

 

I've managed to get to the point where I can use it now. It's pretty damaging, although the tesla gun much better. THe slow speed and hitting of followers are pretty bad setbacks. The chematic made it sound really good though .
