I had this problem while I was unpatched. Never had it reappearing after patching with 1.0.7.4. Try the following tricks I used to use when unpatched: 1)I suspect that Torian Kel's hostile reaction is triggered when you are entering the room running. Try walking in calmly like an honorable gentleman should. 2)There may be some kind of a "trigger point" that turns Torian against you when you walk on a certain square. Try approaching him- or his room- from different directions. 3)Don't fight near his room. Try to lure the enemies out so he wouldn't see you slaughtering his fellow skeletons. Now, all these are so far guessing in the dark. Nothing proven. The only thing that helps effectively is 1.0.7.4. patch.
Alinement and/or respect is what most likily your problem, Torien Kel is evil, if your are good you need high respect.
When i was a half elf he attacked me. I got the dragon blood first, then came back and he didn't attack me.
Because having Dragons Blood ,trips a global flag, that automaticily starts you on a different dailog path. In theroy the dragon pool is not marked on your map till you have spoken to Torien Kel, a newbie player will not know where to to find it. As I have said before Alinement and Respect are the keys to this encounter.
So what, each PCyou played had different stats, what that PC did before meeting TK effects his reaction Alinement and respect change because of the PC actions during play, are you telling us that you played the exactily same charactor and did same things chose the same dialog 17 times? I don't think so, why do you expect NPC's to react to the same way? The whole point of Arcanum, is that it is dynamic! Just telling a begger to #$# off could cause a major change in the plot. If you want TK to talk to you and not attack, the script that runs TK requires that your PC has a certain level reaction, this modified by the alinement of the PC. You can do one of 3 things: 1/ leave and perform actions to change to change the PC reaction level, then return. 2/ use the save game editor to change PC reaction level then reload. 3/ edit the scr and dlg files that run TK. If expecting NPC's do the same thing each and every time I suggest that you find another game to play, because won't get it in Arcanum.
