Oh hell yes, half elves are my fav. They are great if you want a balanced character, without having to resort to the most boring of races - human. I mean, its a fantasy game! Pick a fantasy race, dammit! My half elf knows teleport and all the force spells, she can also make telsa rods. She is more magic orientated, but she can make her own equiptment. My best character. I am going to use this type of character, but change the bio each time, its my fav sort. I have played a halfling, half-orc and elf, but none give me as much fun as the half-elf.
hell yes they are good tech s i ve a female gunslinger and she s doing fine you get -0.25 to all tech skillz but +1 dex and 5% bouns to magick and if you choose raised by monks as background (+1 perception -300 starting money thats like a free point) you get expert status in firearms befor you hit lev 10 half elf s are my favorite too cuz everybody like s them you re get bouns to magick and dex but dont have that high tech penalities like real elves so they can become everything and do it always good as a gunslinger tech spend one point in white necromantic so i can do minor heal and one point in herbs so i can build healing slave (maybe one more for fatigue restorer would be perfect) that helps you alot trough the hohle game an as a gunslinger the other points go for gunsmithing perception inteligence charisma and dexterity at the and of the game you ve a real strong char able to fight also one his own (but its fun if you have a party)
