    make it work? I don't see "dig" in the manual either.

    It's a little counter-intuitive, but you need to put it in a quick use slot, the click it and click somewhere on the map. Just a hint - you can only use items on stuff in the environment that "lights up" when you put the mouse over it (in other words, things that are highlightable and have a description).

    Well i do that--put it in a quick slot, left click it and

    left click a gravestone that lights up--nothing happens. I'm trying to get into
    Terwilleger's grave. -

    Put the shovel in your "belt", then left click on it, then click on the pile of dirt.

    If those dirt doesn't light-up then that means the grave cannot be digged.

    yeah and there aslo a big pile of dirt that lets you know you can dig in the first place

    Alternatively, in the inventory screen, drag the shovel over 'use' button (a hand), then point the grave.
