Is there a real Stillwater Giant?

I just started a new game as a technologist. I’ll try to catch the real one this time, but that will be a wile.

 

Why? Is it not possible to just show up with a stolen pelt from Parnell's?

 

That’s not the point. I want to know what happens if you catch the real one.

Using the fake pelt was what I did last time.

 

OMG, YOU HAVE TO USE THE FAKE PELT IN ORDER TO GET THE REAL GIANT TO APPEAR. THATS THE ONLY WAY TO COMPLETE MYRTH'S QUEST!!!!

 

Well about a month ago i gave Myrth the fake pelt without catching the bunny one and what...
I start walking around Stillwater wating for the bastard and nothing happens.

 

Ok, here's the real deal. And trust me, I've played Arcanum COUNTLESS times. Yes I'm that sad.

The little bunny in the cave is just a normal bunny painted blue. If you capture it, and take it to the Zoologist in Tarant he tells you it's just a normal bunny and that you, and the guy you captured it for, are a couple of twunts. To complete Myrth's quest you can use the fake pelt in H.T. Parnell's, and then after that you can find the real giant between Stillwater and Hardin's pass as a random encounter. I'm quite certain you can't capture the little bastard.

 

Goddammit I killed the damn blue bunny already! The bastard didn't attack me or nothing it just stood there and got killed. Why didn't it change? Was it supposed to be found in a cave? I found a blue bunny in a cave northeast of the Hippington fellows house. I shot it, it died.

Oh yea and is there anyway to get the Hippington guy (the man who studies the Giant) to talk to you? He just says to me "I'm busy come back later."

:lol: some funny shit in here....I caught the bunny in the cage then put it in display glass at Parnells and bought the fake pelt and gave it to the elf and he believed me..SUCKERRRRRR ...but yah i'd love to find the real one and kick its ass :thumbup:

He's roaming around Stillwater, as written above. Please don't post in topics that have gone over a week without a reply, they're pretty much dead. There are some exceptions, but yea, you can follow that rule and not aggravate anyone. At least not for digging.

 

i never even do a quest for that rabbit-catching guy and the zoological institute...i always go straight to the H.T. Parnell's

And if i killed the fake before doing the Myrth and the cage quest.....how do i get a pelt?

 

Who is H.T. Parnells?

 

A guy in Tarrant.

 

He's already found Parnell. Now he's wondering where the case is with the pelt. A bit hard to miss unless he's got a faulty install.

 

I don't think he is paying attention to what the people in the game are telling him, when you play an rpg, it would probably be a good idea to read what people are saying.
