bug?

ok right now in the game i joined the theves guild thing but when i try to get jobs from mr black theres no dialog or nething all i can say is i have something for you but nothing appears thanks

 

You get jobs from the halfling woman at the train station.

Or from a man in suit (can't remember color) who walks around the town.

 

It's a general thing about thieves in Arcanum, that you have to find the underground people (in several places) who can give you work. If you like this sort of thing, there are more contacts, and more thieving jobs, in Car Arcanum.
