Lost spells

I have been playing Arcanum for a while and I keep hearing these things about lost spells. I am confused by the matter and wonder if anyone knows how to learn them and/or get an object that contains them/one.

 

Sorry, it's just part of the storyline. They are not available, or even really described, in game.

I read somewhere that there are some rare artifact classified items that contain lost spells or maybe it was other spells. What are some of these artifact items? This confuses me, I have played the game many times and have never come across them (except for my favourite sword: the Bangellian Scourge)

 

They might have something to do with some items I’ve found.

Theirs a Charmed Ring in the Uncharted Cave that has 10 uses, but I can’t use them. Theirs also an amulet but I don’t remember exactly where it is. And possibly the ring from the Haggle Master, or some ring like that.

If it doesn’t the maybe you might explain the uses, unless there another glitch.
