i played the game thru the first time with only my trustly mutt side-kick. now that i'm starting over (good half-elf mage) i'm wondering if there are any followers that are worthy of me taking simply for their contributions to the story over more generic followers that may round out my party better? thanks in advance.
Welcome to the forum, Kaldak. First, you don't need any of your followers in order to finish the game. However, having followers will help you gain more experience points and sovlve several side quests. All of the followers in this game, except for Sogg and Chukka so far, plays an important role for a quest. Well, that's what I know of.
hmm once you get him.. that dwarven magician doesn't do anything ... hehe i guess, if you count quests to get them.. then okay  he's worthless anyway thou.. has disinigrate and doesn't even use it. baH! jamie
Hm, that would imply that you could get Bill Gates...ahem...sorry...Gilbert Bates in Tarant as a follower! X
jayna stiles, chukka, sogg, and the dwarf mage seem to be nothings. swyft and dante are temps. so is cynthia boggs. a lot of story revolves around virgil, magnus, raven, loghaire, z'an a'lurin, and vollinger BTW, Gorgoth rocks!
Not sure I follow you here. If you have a combat situation, you get the exp for things killed by you or the followers. But the combat exp (exp gained for dealing damage to a monster) is only given to you if you deal the damage, not if your followers are dealing damage. So if anything, followers should make you gain less exp. This is assuming one can actually handle the situation. If we are talking about a character that have troubles killing things, then I guess we can agree followers help
i searched....quite thuroughly(sp?) too....but couldnt find any previous post by you on voice overs....
