It would be awsome if they made it to where you can disasemble armor to make one that fits your style. For instance, I love machined platemail but it is really heavy, so I take it to a black smith and modify it so that it is lighter but isn't as protective or somthing like that. Better yet, equip your automations, mechanized arachnids, heck even summoned creatures with armor.
Could do, could do. At the same rate, there should be an ability to increase the defensive properties of your protective gear by increasing weight. I guess that most blacksmiths should be able to enhance gear... Yeah, full access to those creatures inventory would be neat. Of course, the equipment worn by a summoned creature should be left in a pile on the ground once the summon expires...
How abut custom designs for robes and armor, or tatoos for the skin. Uses a pallet maker like the GCN game Animal Crossing.
That would be cool. You could dress yourself in a robe with your own heraldic shield and with "Nasrudin Incarnate" written in it, and you could dress your followers in robes saying "Follower of Nasrudin Incarnate" or "Horrid Pervert" in Virgil's case...
Automatons with armor??? Now that would be an overkill. Giving them a Pyro axe, on the other hand... Putting armor on summoned creatures only makes sense if they are Orcs and Ogres from the Summoning college. Vorpal bunnies in plate mail... doesn't sound right. On second thought, a forest ape in a Dread Armor would look cool beyond belief.
What about taking a magical item to a wizard and have them add spells or make it more powerfull by carving runes in it or something.
I love that of letting techs tinker with their own creations. Customizing weapons, armor, etc could be an excellent substitute and/or improvement for the schematics we all are used to... maybe having a 'blueprint' for each tech item will do, letting the player experiment with different combinations of parts or subcomponents. Also, mage characters should be allowed to enchant items in the magicks they have mastered.
wtf is this "vorpal bunny" ive been hearing of and where does one locate it? its not the purple bunny in stillwater is it?
And... what does it do? a magical teleporting bunny doesnt sound very imposing... im sure many a brave ork has wet his rags at the sight of such a beast.
A vorpal bunny will kick your ass if you aren't really tough. It is really hard to kill and it has the following stats: ST 14, DX 17, CN 18, BE 14, IN 18, WP 19, CH 3, PE 19, Hit Pts 108, Magic Pts 100, Normal Damage 50/100, Spells: Jolt Plus, it is set to NO FLEE and AI Packet 14 (Close Combat Summon), so this bunny does NOT back off once you engage it in combat until either you or it is dead. It is fast, smart, tough and packs a wallop that is all out of proportion to its size. If the rest of the monsters and critters in Arcanum were as tough as it, the game would be a lot harder and maybe unplayable for some people. The problem with the vorpal bunny is that it doesn't LOOK tough or mean, so you don't know any of this until you either accidentally set it off or purposely attack one.
