Coldwolf asked: "where can I in Arcanum get some keyring datas at the end of journeyman book ?"

Until you buy a keyring, each key you find clutters up your inventory and weighs a stone. After you buy a keyring, you see the keyring in your inventory but keys are "hidden" on the ring and take up no space (and I think they have no weight).

The key section of the logbook tells you what keys you have found. Just keep them all on your ring for the entire game, and refer to this section if you're not sure you've found a key. If that section of the logbook is empty, you've found none.

The first key you're likely to see in the game is the key that allows you to cross the bridge to get our of Shrouded hills to the East. This key will appear in your inventory if you succeed in any of the many ways that allow you to cross.

Okay, I didn't HAVE to start a new thread. But the newbies who are coming to this forum, and who seem to want to read as little as possible - if they have a questojn abut keys or keyrings, they might just notice the name of this topic.

I'm a non-standard sort of newbie. I've played exactly one game of Arcanum (I started my second one two days ago), but that game lasted over two months, took about 150 hours, and involved a LOT of techy stuff and follower manipulation. Since November I've been reading a lot about the game in walkthroughs, forums, and the Prima strategy guide.

By now I have incredible dilletante's knowledge about the game and remarkable little experience with many of its aspects. I've cast all of two different spells and I'm yet to do any serious prowling.

At this point I can still remember what it's like to be totally puzzled by this game's comlpexities, but I know a lot about it.

    Thanks for asking!

Im same as you trobs. I like to take my time in my game, enjoy it for all its worth. You only get to beat it for the first time once, after that you know what to expect. Anyway, I probablly took 80+ hours to complete the game.

I also managed to do that without a single keyring... everywhere I went there wasnt one for sale, and I couldnt be bothered waiting. So its no necessity, beseides most the keys you wont ever use after the first use.

the general store in tarant has one the first time you see it. Get it then, and then just forget about them.
