Pelojian and magick allergy

    Hullo,
    Sorry in advance for the possible gravedigging, but for some reason the search engine does not work for me and I did not have the nerve to read through all 72 pages of topics.
    A friend of mine has a seemingly great problem. He has chosen magick allergy for background, and he got as far as Tulla. He also opened all houses, read all books, and got the amulet.
    But as it is magical, he cannot put it on!

    Does this mean the end for him, or is there a way around this?

    Is he patched? If not, try to download and install the 1.0.7.4 patch (get it here) and see what happens. Really, even if this doesn't remove the problem, the patch is always good to have.

    Other than that, he could try forcing Vendigroth. The ruins can be found at these coordinates:

    W307 S587

    (just mark the black bar if you want to reveal the spoiler)

    I'm not sure if the location will reveal on his map when he gets close though. He may have to stop maptravel while he's close to the coordinates and run around for a while to find it.

    Txs for the welcome :))

    Here is what I've learnt from him:
    - He is playing unpatched, because he installed the game via the local network in his office, and his client does not have its own CD player. He reportedly tried installing the patch, but afterwards it asks for a CD :/

    - It might be a solution that he sends his savegame to me, I talk with Pelojian, and then he can go on - if only patched savegames ran under unpatched games too... Is that so?

    - I will tel him to try and force Vendigroth anyway...
