Can't enter the town of Tarant.

    I have just started playing this game, and whenever I try to enter the town of Tarant, my game crashes. I have the latest patch from Arcanum's official site, so that's not the cause. Has anyone else had this problem? If there is no solution I will just have to ditch the entire game and never play it. :thumbdown:

    Does your system meet the system requirements? Sounds like e amemory issue. Tarant is a memory hog.

    Or try running a repair on your installation.

    I've had mods causing problems like this. If you have any mods installed, you could try to remove them.

    nope and nope....

    I have no mods installed in it so it's not that. And as for my system, it more than handles it. I have...

    AthlonXP 2200 (1.8 gig)
    512 DDR
    120 gig HD
    GeForce4 Ti 4200 128 MB

    So.... that can't be it..... I guess I could re-install it right? Or how do you repair it?

    Put the install disk in and it should come up with some options. Uninstall and Repair I think. If that doesn't work, you could try going into the C Drive and manually clicking on the CD Drive where there'll be an Arcanum Icon.

    Same problem, whenever I talk to tailor in Assbury. It's a big problem, don't you think? :lol:

    a possible workaround would be to go near tarant in the worldmap, and then to walk the rest of the distance manually.... it may be a pain, but it should work. shouldnt it?

    Have you tried turning off your virus scanner? I had some crashes to the desktop at random moments before I did that.
