(Potential) Modmakers, read this please!

Hi guys, I plan on making a fairly large mod for Arcanum in the coming weeks - it won't be a small mod, I envision it being a fairly large, single-player mod, with a real plot, characters, etc etc etc.

Due to the size of the project, I will need some help - it took the Troika guys 2 years to make their game. I really want to make a mod as high-quality (but not as long, it would be too big!). If you're interested, please e-mail me, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible - if I take a little while, it's because I have exams (until Monday).

I'm really only interested in getting people serious on making the mod on the team. WorldEd experience is preferred, but not necessary (hey, I don't have any yet).

I already have a basic starting plot, but nothing beyond that. Everyone who gets in on the mod will get to influence the story, make towns etc etc etc.

(i had some thoughts to do 1 too, but it is SO hard and i dont have the time...)
in the mean while there isnt any mods avalible(exapct 2 small mods that you can download from terra-arcanum)

How large really. I have slow connection so I don't know if I can download that big file. Is it 100+ MB?

 

I haven't made the mod yet, so I don't know how big it will be...

If need be, I'll split it up into smaller chunks for easier download...

On that note, it would be great if someone who joined has a broadband connection of some sort, so that uploading to the net somewhere won't take 5 hours :smile:.

 

well i been writin a mod but then i thought arcanum isnt a good world so its not guna be arcanum mod... since i dun have a mailin prog and will hafta go thru that logon crap in hotmail to email u im not doin that today... better if u just email to me to zlo999@hotmail.com

 

I've never worked on a mod - I've yet to finish the game, even, as I've just had it a couple days, but I'd be willing to help in any way I could.

Modding takes skillfull and talented people with alot of RPG and Arcanum experience so you'd probably drop out.

I was a grave digger in fallout once(maybe fallout 2...), I think there was a pipboy gravedigger picture, that should be the avatar, if it exists anyway.

 

jesus, it's like "night of the living threads", or something...

 

That thread is ancient, and the mod never really went anywhere, due to a lack of support and my natural laziness...

It would have been cool though if I made it.

 

Hey, yeah, count me in on that one DU. I'm pretty sure I could help out with that, in terms of storyline, quests, dialog, etc etc etc.

Also, asking me if I like Fallout is like *insert clever phrase here which means an emphatic yes!*.
