I think it was a missed opportunity that Vorak didn't lock the Petition thread with, "I'm about to lose control and.. lock this thread." I'm also a little pleased that acting like a zealous meme-obsessed game fanboy can still get the goat of some of the old-timers around here. All it takes is enough exclamation points.

    Good morning!!!!

If by "get his goat" you mean "compelled him to click 1-3 buttons, and later un-click them" then yeah, you really showed Vorak who's boss around here.

    Good morning.

(I'm aware un-click isn't really the right phrase here.)

If you don't equate causing extremely minor and petty inconveniences for others to massive personal victories I just don't know what to tell you Philes. I mean, that was a whole two clicks he could have been using to watch porn.

    Good morning.

Wait - are you telling me this doesn't qualify as porn?

I guess it's probably similarly as soul destroying if you indulge in it too much.

    Good morning, part II.

If you're not TA'ing without pants on I don't think we can be friends.

    Good afternoon.

Objection! My client only said he zipped his pants; whether or not he was wearing them while zipping them has not been conclusively proven!

    Good evening.

I found out there's a Facebook account where a guy censors porn with cartoons, called the King of Censure.

Here's my favourite one so far (NSFW, sort of):

With that extremely important contribution, I say good morning!

Yeah, all this stuff sucks. For the Westminster attack, of all the British people who were hurt, there's no way to feel good about the Romanian who was going to be proposed to dying same day. I think it's also shit an American died here, I mean as an American if you were going to die of a terrorist attack you would expect it to be on your own soil. That isn't to say that the other people who died were any less worthy of commemoration, but people dying of unique and unusual circumstances must rub a little harder. At the same time, I'm sure a loved one being stripped from you is always unique and unusual.

For the UK as a country, I feel like we're dicks. Our international profile somehow massively outweighs our actual heft, and for that reason I feel like if a country was going to be the target for a terrorist attack it's going to be us, the US, or another "big player" in Europe - like Germany or France who have so irritated them. So for Sweden to get an attack, it sucks, because you'd like to think the countries with higher profiles bear the brunt of it and other countries can be "safe". But I suppose that's their grand achievement, to make small pockets of people die needlessly for no reason all over the place. It's shit.

I think Trump's strikes in Syria are also a major worry. I mean it's hard to condemn them, as it seemed to be literally excising the Syrian's government ability to chemically attack civilians, but he didn't wait for UN action and it's certainly a provocation internationally - and provocations don't go unanswered. I think Trump appears to be honest as a populist politician (likewise with Bernie Sanders), whereas in the UK where we have Nigel Farage I'd say his right-ist opinions are equally politically motivated and conceited as most politicians, but I say that's his strength and his downfall - he plays to his heart, he's reactionary, and he's a bit of an idiot (and also a sexist and a bit of racist, but honestly so, and probably no more so than your average yesteryear grandfather). I think he really believes in American exceptionalism in his own odd way, but that might be setting us on a dark path.

They're "interesting times" to say the least. I can't think of something in my lifetime that has had the possibility to get as out of control than Trump's attack on Syria, and yet when the Nazi's expansionist ambitions went unchecked for too long they got what can only be mildly described as rather uppity too. It could be okay, it could be horrible, it's a roll of the dice I wasn't interested to see.

Hopefully this missile strike is a one-off and not an escalation. Not that I have any reason to be personally concerned, since I work at Cinnabon now...

I should add that I've checked with our Stockholm-based members that I know of and they're fine.

With 4 dead and <20 wounded, chances that any of us were directly affected were slim (althought the number of indirectly affect, through shock and such, are significantly higher).

    Still, appreciate the thought.

Hi guys. There's some music playing from a rehearsal space outside where I live. It sounds like this "Bow, bow, doo doo doo do do, bow, bow, doo doo doo do do..." Does anyone know what song it is from? Thanks.

    Good morning.
