Wow.. hard.. i need to cheat.

I recently got Arcanum, and christ. It's hard. Maybe i just suck. I don't know, but i'm finding it extremely difficult. I can't even make it through the rocky hills to get to the first town. At the start, i buy all the life potions i can, and use them all, and still die before I can make it to a town. Anyone have any tips. Also, is there anyway I could talk someone into hex'ing me up a Half-Elf with Extreme personality, with very high levels?

 

Ok, I don't know any cheats, but heres some tips...


Try starting off as an orge with the tough hide backround. This will let you own everything you'll encounter with pure melee. Use this char to learn the basics about the game(i.e. stat distrib, how you like to play, ect.) When you think you have those down, you'll know alot more about the game and thus better at surviving. Also, why buy healing potions? Virgil, the NPC you meet at the crash, will heal you, when he's in ur party. When he's low on fatigue simply advance time one hour and continue on.

 

I'm thinking a cheat will be made as soon as the game is officially out. You might even be able to do this just like Baldur's Gate by pressing Enter and typing some command lines.

 

Okay, there are already two cheats out there. One mainly the character editor (magic skills, tech stuff) and the other one increases the number of your gold coins (also level points).

 

What are those cheats

Demosthenes, now that he's dug it up, the least you could have done is told him what the cheats are as well as yell at him. :/

It's too bad our downloads section is down here at TA or you could get them here, but it will be back up as soon as the remodelling is done. If you want to find some cheats, there is a character editor available and there are several game hacks available. I know that most of these are available at Dimensions of Arcanum -> http://www.rpgplanet.com/arcanum/ in their downloads section, so you might try there.
