Here in England it's hard to know which party leaders are dicks and which are just idiots. None of them have any idea beyond trying to spin things in a way that makes them look like "one of the people" as they scrap over the Centre, like a three headed dog fighting over a steak. They scratch and they bite but they're ultimately the same damn dog.

So basically Xiao, you just made yourself look like a twat without me even needing to lift a finger this time, well done your ice cream cake is in the mail.

Also I support Abbot, just as I have supported the Liberals the last two times I had to vote. At least they didn't feel the need to give false promises about faser internet and rubbish to get the nerds on board.

I think the only way for Australia to get it's act together is for them to invade a middle eastern country. I would go for Turkey. I bet they're up to something delicious.

So basically Zanza, I just made myself look like a woman without your help? No achievement there. *smirk* Come on, man, that one was kinda pathetic.

Alright, so I may well have mistaken your point of origin, but my point still stands. I know who I'm voting for as more than just people on my TV screen, I have an uncle who works for Tony Fucking Abbott and who used to work for John Howard and who tells me a lot about what goes on behind the scenes, and I know how to use my preferances to make my vote actually count.

If nothing else, I know better than to vote for the party that put us in the pocket of George W. Bush, almost destroyed our healthcare and education systems, almost got us fucked by the Financial Crisis and who got us tangled up in Iraq.

You mean the party that got us a free trade agreement with the US, were constantly blamed for healthcare and education which are state government responsibilities, cleared all federal debt allowing the current government the leeway it needed for its stimulus package and who entered a country ruled by a sadistic dictator who tortured people and helped the effort to topple him.

I work in Parliament House, I know them all and in my opinion the greatest mistake this country ever made was turning against Peter Costello. If Barry Haase would step up as leader that would be ideal but at least Abbot actually stands for something.

Krudd is a tool, Gillard is a bully, Wong is an ideologue, Brown has unrealistic expectations.

The Coalition know how to actually run a country, not how to throw dreams and empty promises to the public. Thats why they always get elected to fix the mess then when times are good people get greedy and re-elect the ones who promise them the Earth.

You've got a damned good point about Peter Costello, Vorak. Maybe not the most likeable man, but someone who could have gotten the job done. Ah, how fickle is the whim of public opinion!

Incidentally, my opinion about the Iraq war isn't that we shouldn't have gone in there and kicked his arse, but that we should have gone in there better prepared and with honest reasons. If they'd just come out and said 'Hey, Saddam is an evil bastard and we're gonna kill him once and for all,' I would have been all for it. Instead they kept going with the 'weapons of mass destruction' stuff instead. *sigh*

I have never considered you to be a woman Xiao therefore I'll remain with what I orignally said. Anyway Vorak sums it up and I doubt you could be any better prepared honestly, you are making out its like an RTS or something, the enemy is going to probably think outside the box, not what it was scripted to do. How do you propose we could of been any more prepared for guerrila warfare?

    SMILEY FACES ON BALLOT PAPERS!

Somebody will probably forget about the bill and it will be stuffed down the bottom of the Speaker's briefcase, anyway.

That would have been interesting. If nations could openly invade others on the basis that the invaded country has evil bastard politicians, then that'd just open up the door for everyone to invade eachother. I like.

You're not even trying anymore, are you? *rolls eyes* I'm just going to go back to ignoring you, you didn't say incredibly stupid shit every ten seconds when I wasn't letting you get to me.

You have completely missed the point of my comment. Namely, we should have had plans for this little thing called 'stabilising the country due to the sudden power vacuum we caused'.

And now I'm bowing out of this thread, because Xiao and political discussions don't mix very well.

Approved. I'd advise for an Australian fleet to attack Dardanelles/Gallipoli. Excellent weak location for an offensive. Bring some Brits too.

American liberals support regulating the economy but not anything else. American conservatives support regulating everything but the economy. You fail at being an economist.

By original definition, liberals support not regulating things in general, though.
