Yeah, that would suck. But if I keep postin on here I'm gonna end up with a spam can since I can't figure out when I'm spamming and not

 

But the Flintlock is the nicest looking of all the avatars, I think. I was disappointed when mine went away. You should try to avoid spamming so you can keep it for as long as possible.

Anyway, nobody's talking in the chat. As usual.

 

I try not to spam, but I get into conversations with people on here and that seems to be spamming. Bad Phoenix!

Nor does it when I get in a flaming mood. This thread is turning to shit faster than what I ate last night. SHUT THE FUCK UP WITH THE CRAPPY ONE-LINERS! It is so FUCKING ANNOYING coming here and seeing each thread filled with identical, idiotic, pointless crap!

So, to answer all the questions so that there's less spam going on...

1. Yes, people do go on IRC.

2. Yes, the people there are mainly regulars, old regulars, or friends of the regulars (at least, that's true in #TA-Regulars. #Arcanum is filled with people from the whole Arcanum community, which is a lot bigger than this forum).

3. Yes, people will talk, if you have something funny/controversial to say. If you want to chat about music tastes, and you're not well known, conversations won't get going. Don't expect to log on once and become everybody's new chat buddy.

4. This is a discussion that should never have happened.

Some other points I wish to make:

1. Xento (and the others who are doing it) enough with the congratulatory remarks on new ranks. It's pointless, and I think the person who got the rank can see for themself it's happened. If you still really want to do it, PM them.

2. Conversations on the relative merits of each avatar have been had already. Use the search function if you want to read up on them.

Phoenix, if you're still wondering on the definition of spam, take a look at every one of yours, Parmanian's, and xento's posts, especially the ones from the last page and a half. Classic spam, in my opinion.

 

Hmmm...I never thought I'd say this, but the mods are getting a little hard - yes, there is a lot of crap around, a lot of spam, but a legitimate conversation, even if it's stupid (without being spamtastic), even if it's a line or two per post, should be allowed, IMHO.

 

Alright you guys, I hate to deliver another round of spanking after Jar, but this is getting a little silly. Please try to keep this down, or take it to IRC. If you go on at night, (errr... I think 10-ish EST) there will usually be more people. Milo hangs out on IRC a lot, but he's mine. Jar goes on sometimes, and Kay is always on. And me, of course.
