Why are the people in the Panarii temple out out to get me?

    I'm playing a human technologist and my current followers are Sogg, Sebastian, Vollinger, and Jayna.

    NOw I've pretty much done evey quest I usually do: I didn't join the dark elves or betray the bedokan.

    The thing that I have done differently is:

    - Betrayed and killed Gilbert bates, but bought his mansion.
    - Stopped the Whytechurch murderer
    - Killed the Magic shop clerks in EVERY town, but ONLY the magic shop clerks.

    Now I can walk around Caladon just fine without any hassle but as soon as I get into the panarii temple, everyone starts to attack me calling me MURDERER.

    Now I can't recall correctly, but would this have something to do with Virgil? I dunno if he was just plain killed or if I killed h.im myself.

    Anyway, with this situation, I can't get the passwords from teh tomb of nasrudin as the two scholars died attacking me.

    Has this happened to anyone before and can someone give me a diagnosis if they do know?

    (annd yes I am patched to 1.0.7.4)

    It would appear to me that the situation you are currently in would best be described as... fucked.
    my solution would be to restart.

    The guards in the Temple always take exception if you betray and kill Bates. You might wish to find an alternate way into the tomb. A password is not required.

    What I mean't was....without the other professor, I can't open the wheel thingamybob over to west of roseborough along the coast.

    You don't need it anyway. Even if you could get in, you have to talk to the people in the temple to complete that quest.

    I've had the same thing happen and the best I can come up with is that Bate's guards and the Temple guards are in some way connected.

    You can do the temple however, take each guard one at a time and DON'T let the main priests see you. If you get it right, once all the guards are dead and providing you havn't been seen by the main priests, they'll talk to you. You should also dispose of the corpses so they can't see them.

    You can get into the tomb of Nasrudin under the Panarii Temple in Caladon from the sewers without a password - if you find the right hidden passage. :-o :)
