Who else has seen The Hulk and thought it sucked? I went and saw it today. It was way to slow for one thing. You had to wait half the movie for any action, and even the building of the story at the beginnin wasn't very interesting.

I thought it was quite good...better than what I read about it. The kilometre-long jumps I can let pass...but the end...dear god...just a little too potheaded for the Hulk.

Actually, I thought the Hulk was great. Yeah, the ending was weird, but I didn't think the movie was slow at all. One of the better movies I've seen this year - overall, I think it's a better movie than the Matrix Reloaded.

You, Phoenix, obviously have no patience, and no appreciation of telling a good story. I like an action movie as much as the next guy, but it's not all I want to see :).

Actually I have a good deal of patience. And I enjoy a good story. But even with the story telling they didn't do a very good job I didn't think. They kept it to serious then would through in things like the (SPOILER) mutant french poodle. That was just a bit much.

I for one refuse to see it. An agile CG hulk DODGING MISSILES isn't the fucking hulk. Gimme Lou Fariggno for Christ's sake.

The only "Summer" movies that I want to give a go are T3 and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen..

Oh he didn't dodge them. He grabbed them, BIT the explosive off, and SPIT it back at the helicopters.

Jar - Don't get me wrong, I thought it was a good conversion, (I'm not old enough to really know my Hulk, but at least it wasn't too far out), and a great movie in its own right, which is suprising, but I think the ending could've had another few minutes to just spread everything out, make it clearer.

    Yes! Go late-1800's...

I'd never heard of the background before, but it's based on a graphic novel from a few years ago...has anyone read it? Apparently the movie is crap, but the whole thing's a great idea...a band of 1800's-literature merry men :) ...

The movie IS crap. Start to finish crapfest. I was so looking forward to it due to the setting and the special effects. I haven't been so disappointed in a movie since that horrid Steve Martin flick, Bringing Down the House.

Now, Pirates of the Caribbean I liked. Good story, lots of fun action, great sets and costumes, and Johnny Depp just plain impressed the hell out of me. Definitely my favorite movie pirate. I was a bit worried since it was based loosely on the ride, but it turns out it didn't interfere with the story and even provided a few good laughs when the audience recognized certain bits.

Lots of fun. Oh and Johnny Depp is a brilliant actor. It's worth the admission just to watch him strut around for two-and-a-half hours. Or lurch around, depending on his level of inebriation. Man's a genius. Needs an Oscar for this. Seriously, he's that impressive. And NO I haven't had a crush on him since 21 Jump Street, who told you THAT? Sheesh.

Tonight, I'm going to go see with Hollywood Homicide with my sister. I mean, how bad could it be? It has Harrison Ford and Josh Hartnett. -drools- :p

Then, I'm going to go see Finding Nemo with my friend when she gets back from New Mexico. I can't wait for Seabiscuit! It's gonna be awesome. I hope.

I'm looking forward to seeing Hollywood Homicide though apparently not for the same reason :D . And I saw Finding Nemo with my little brothers. It was hilarious. I was kinda worried it was gonna be stupid but it wasn't. It was very funny for both kids and adults (or in my case teens :) )

Ditto with the water effects on Morrowind. Awesome job.

Heck, if PotC (aka Sea Dogs 2) didn't have good water effects, it would be a sure-fire sign of laziness and lack of quality. I haven't played it yet, but hope to soon. It sounds awesome!

BTW, how is the word done? Is it huge and open like Morrowind or split like NWN? Also, how realistic is the vegitation effects/looks? the looks on the vegitation on Morrowind was awesome, and NWN had realistic wind and breeze effects on the tall grasses.

it's not really as large as they said at first. when i first looked it up, they said mabye 20 or so islands, but there are only about 6. they didn't make it open-ended like they claim it would be. i mean, sure you can play it as long as you want and still have access to everything, but you have to go to a certain point in the main story to raid forts (isn't even worth it. don't get much) i completed teh game and it sent me back to the main menu. and exploring the islands isn't as open either. you have to stay on trails. and there isn't that many pirate caves and treasure. also as i said, the controls are the worst i've seen in a long time. a pretty short game too if you follow the main story. took me mabye 4 hours to beat. it's an okay game if you have some extra money burning a hole in your pocket, but if you want a better game for chaper, i recommend Gothic 2. all around (except in graphics) Gothic 2 beats PoTC.

Since we're talking about games, know any good games coming out soon Xen? i have about $200 bucks sitting on my microwave and am wondering what games to buy with it? I'll probably get Bloodmoon with some of it, unless i see a few reviews saying that it sucks.

Well, I would definately go with Lionheart, Greyhawk, and the WC3 exp.

I also hear that Thief 3 is coming out in September, but it may just be a rumor. Reguardless, I'll keep my eyes peeled come fall. :)

Now, I must look at some porn and keep my eyes peeled cum fall.
