Where to acquire Arcanum (and for how much)?

Greetings everyone,

In my quest to find a good new RPG to play, I've stumbled upon Arcanum, the release of which I somehow missed. Anyway, I downloaded the demo and I think "You had me at character creation" pretty much says it all.

I'm wondering where I should look to purchase this game. So far, it looks like ebay and amazon are my only options, but I'll take any suggestions of other places to look as well. Also, any estimates on how much I should expect to pay would be greatly appreciated.

 

Here (Hungary) the shelves are full with it, 6$, altough not the original, but the "Best buy..." or what the fuck (not too much difference, you only won't get the manual).

 

Right, good point. I'm in the United States, which I should have said in my first post.

 

I found mine at a used video game place for ten dollars. Try your local ones first. If they don't have it in stock, most would be willing to order it for you.

Be advised, the prices do vary widely. At Amazon.com I've seen the game and help book combo listed for as much as sixty dollars.

 

Here in Australia I had to order mine in through a company called "Harvey-Norman". It cost about $20 but thats because I ordered it. Find it on the shelf and i'm sure it will cost remarkabely less.

When I brought mine, it didn't come with a manual. Stupid, cheap country.

 

Well why didn't mine come with a manual. it was brought completely new and all.

 

If I need one badly ill look on ebay or just download it. The problems with buying things years too late....

 

Yeah I know I have breifly skimmed over it. I dont really need it though. Its just the moral of not getting it with the game.
