Where is the exiled dwarf king?

Well after talking to the soon-to-be-king of the wheel clan, he didn't say anything about where the king is. I looked on the walkthru on this site and it says if you have low INT or CHA/Persuade you have to go through the dredge (I have 7 or 8 intellegence, 20 charisma, and expert w/ 3 lvls of persuade).

So I find the dredge and the gaurd dwarf in front of me won't let me in, I try to talk to the soon-to-be-king about it but thats not one of the dialouge options.

If I try to talk to Gilbert, it just says "I have no new news to report" or something along those lines...

...help? ...please?

 

Talking to the son should give you an option to ask for access to the Dredge. Sounds like a bug to me.

The other way to get to the king is to have a high persuasion rating and talk to the son; if you choose the right dialogue options, he'll tell you about the secret ladder underneath the throne (don't bother looking for it; the only way to use it is by convincing the son).

 

Well I guess its a bug then because neither of those options appeared... I have high persuation too... My game isn't patched though, if I patch it, will it work now or will I have to start over?

Ok, so I got myself patched up but the dialouge option still isn't there!!!

just kill the lame guards....lol
if u dun wanna hurt the innocent, then attack them until they faint, or stasis them
and dun ever return to that place

 

have you triend reinstalling the game?
it do helps a lot
