yeah, you steal the key from ms.misk, the book is in the glass display case next to the front door...

 

Or you could just tell her why you want the book and she will sell you the key.

 

she will only sell after you tell her who ratted her husband out.

 

3dog, thats was not true in my game. I took the rated out guest and then she sold me the key. I never figured it out, i never solved the quest so I think you just have to try and help her. Its like $2,000 or something.

 

I just killed her and took the book.
