Anyone else a bit curious that they're aren't any children in Arcanum?... maybe they're like the Dwarven women, or maybe has to do with child abuse,(killing everyone in town, including women and children, but if you kill a child, oh now THAT'S terrible)
Well, yeah. I mean, I suppose the kids could've been made invincible or something, but then there'dve been complaints of "WTF why can't I kill any kids?" Fable had kids in every town early in development, but they were taken out when Molyneux discovered that testers were killing them, so the only kids left are in Bowerstone. I think kids could be killed in Fallout, but I don't entirely remember.
Check the workhouses. I seem to remember that killing children in Fallout had a significantly negative impact on one's reputation. In Arcanum, killing a halfling yields the same satisfaction.
Yeah, I miss the childkiller perk too. Adding children into the game shouldn't be hard though, there is age and sprite scaling in game already.
Even when you change the age and scale you still have men and women with a body of the wrong age. (muscular, breasts et al.)
