Where can I find...

Where can I find Drarven steel (or was it iron?). The part needed to make Elite platemail?

Is there any fixed spot somewhere where I could find it before the Wheel Clan? Or maybe a shop?

I searched for Dwarven Steel, read all the thread that came up, and none helped me.

The search function does not answear all problems.

 

The Dwarf armorers in the Wheel Clan & Caladon sell it. Found occasionly in Dwarven Chests in the Wheel Clan & perhaps the BMC.

 

there's one chest before the kite shaman bunch that has had mirtrl or dwarven steel for me in the BMC.

I said I wanted it before the Wheel Clan, so of course it rule out the Wheel Clan, and you should not be in Caladon that early in the game.

So there are some in the Black Mountain Clan? I suppose I could hurry up on the main storyline and get there. It shouldn't take long...

there is a POSSIBILITY of dwarven steel there, if I was a betting man, I'd bet against it.

You can get to caladon early, just follow the shades beach walking till the mountain stops you then fine tune on the overhead map around the southern horn.

What's the Shade Beach? I tried walking from Razor's Pointe, but I found no way through the mountains.

So you found a way through Razors Points? How did you do that?

 

Just like I tried saying about get to razors point, then walk along the water until you get to the mountain and can't walk any further. Go to the overhead map and just keep trying to get cursor to lock on an area west of the point.

Once that point is met, keep following along the coastline.
