Have you ever service in than combat unit that fought in a real war like WWI WWII Korean War vietman War. You would be singing than entire different song. My father fought in WWII as than Elite Ranger unit member. I have than Uncle who fought in the Korean War and Vietman War. I have than Step grandfather who serive in the Marine occupation of Haite in 1914 or 1916. They all tell him that war is not like they show it in the moive. It about woman and childern being kill in bombing attack. There is no just thing as than stugical clean strike.

Our educateion system doesnot teach critical skill anymore. Some school only teach how great america culture is compare to the rest of the world. They donot even teach ancient history or world history anymore. Mostly it is
due to bibble belt christian running the local school and a few case the State
Educateion Board.

Our government doesnot put than enought money into a good edurateion system. Our military might will goes down soon enought. Our Areospace engineers are very old with not hardly any replacement for then in sight. It take 8 to 10 year to train than good engineer in on job and school training.

Anyway, since the topic's gone onto the American education system, I want to drop in say that I'm disappointed as well. They teach our kids shit they'll never need to know like wood shop and such. The goal of high school should be preparing students either for a life in the workplace or a life in college/university. Yet once kids are out of highschool, they're unprepared for life outside of mommy and daddy's house. Rather than woodshop, how about a class or two about home economics. And I don't mean making a lasagna or cookies. I mean preparing a tax return or budgeting. Things that will actually help them in life. Learning a foreign language should have more emphasis placed on it as well. When job hunting, being able to speak another language can often be the difference between you and someone else getting the job. As it stands now, the school system makes you take two years of foreign language with practically no emphasis on the student being able to converse fluently once they've graduated.

For one thing, it's "cowardly". And last time I checked, there wasn't a draft in this country. We ALL can sit on our collective "cowardful arse without getting into the army." His being gay has absolutely nothing to do with it.

 

They say there's no draft in this country, but what does that really mean? Ever since I was a kid, I was told that the US would never again draft citizens into a war. Ok fine, but then what's that little card they made me fill out on my 18th birthday for? The one that says "Draft Card" on it and "You will sign this or face 5 years in prison and a $50,000 fine".¹







¹Not too sure on the prison sentence and fine since I looked at the card once, signed it, and then lost it. I do remember the punishment for not signing was really severe, though. Maybe some other 18+ year old American guys can back me up on this.

 

It easy to brainwash someone who doesnot know ancient history or world history or know anything about culture. They are now teach the bibble story of creation as Creation Science which say the world was created 6000 year ago by God. That try America is going down the tude.

 

Well, the bible was created by man (not BY god, although he gave man the words to write) about 6000 or so years ago. My dad and I once went through the bible and discovered that the earth is approximatly 10000 years old. Evolution is wrong. Last year, I did a science project on how the sun proves the Earth can't be that old: I took the rate of the sun's decay (which noteworthily was buried down with alot of dinosaur junk) and reversed it. I found that the earth, as my dad and I predicted, couldn't have been much more then 10,000 yeras old without the sun being so close to have burned up the earth. I could give you the exact data if you asked... I think I have it here somewhere... I put it all on a Microsoft Powerpoint Presentation.

If you're any indication of your schooling (or lack thereof), I seriously am ashamed of my country, and the upcoming generation. *sigh*

 

Well, I'll do it guys....

2 things, nbrosz. First of all, carbon-dating shows the earth to be much older than 10,000 years old. More like several billion years old. (That's "dillion" for Charles.) I forget how many billions exactly something like 4.5 billion.

Secondly, you can't take the Bible word for word. It says in the Scriptures, "His ways are beyond our understanding." It also says, "He spake in parables." Just because in Genesis it says He created the earth and the heavens in 6 days, that doesn't necessarily mean 6 days equaling 24 hours each. It may have taken a twinkling of an eye, or thousands of years, by our measurements of time.
Oh, and the Bible was not created by man, but by men divinely inspired by the Creator.
