What the fuck are things coming to?

If I'm not mistaken, the problem is the media. They often inflate something and exaggerate so it would become a better story. It sells better and it creates confusion amongst the herd. We're all "aware" of that and yet they do it over and over again. And it works.

As for the television, it was used to promote many bad things over the years, like Communism, social and sexual equality, Judaism, etc. So why not Islam?
