I really don't want to see Black Hawk Down. It sounds like just another war film.

I've seen a coupla good ones in the last few nights.

Last Supper is an older one, but I had never heard of it until now. It's hilarious and should be subtitled "When Liberals Attack". I loved the way the characters were all affected differently by the deaths.

Vanilla Sky was one I've waited for forever to come out on DVD and was enthralling. It kept you wondering all the way through, and only crossed the line into outright confusing once or twice. The end is excellent, and appears to have been stolen from a Philip K Dick story. I won't tell you which one, as I don't want to spoil it for you. You can't help feeling sympathy for the main character's plight.

Oh yeah, and I bought that LotR DVD. Is it supposed to have a TT trailer on, as well as the preview? Mine just has the preview where the beardy bloke tells you how hard he's working.

The Two Towers is the only one I'm looking forward to, being a huge LotR fan.

I never really understood the appeal of The Matrix. I thought it was an OK SciFi film with some good effects, but not this life-changing, 'favourite film of all time' experience that many people seem to have had. It didn't help that it had a very similar basic premise as 'Dark City' that I'd seen just a couple of weeks before.

Okay, I'll add those to my "see before Reign of Fire" list. I think I've heard about Last Supper before. A friend who's dad runs a video store recommended the movie, but I never got a chance to watch it. If I can find it on DVD, I'll check it out.

Vanilla Sky was an adaption of a Spanish movie, wasn't it? I remember hearing that somewhere. I think it may have been from the same guy who did The Others. Either way, I'll rent this.

I was sure that it had the Two Towers trailer, but after checking the back of the box, it only says Two Towers Preview. I knew that I saw the trailer somewhere, though, so I put in the extras DVD and looked around for it. Sure enough, it's there. It's during the Two Towers Preview, towards the end. It starts at 9:10 and ends at about 10:20.

Jackson showed footage of Gandalf in the trailer, too. Way to go, Jackson. Way to spoil it for those of us who haven't read the books and thought he might be dead. I mean, we knew he wasn't dead, but still, we saw him drop down the hole...

I agree with you, Reg, about both movies. Matrix seemed over-rated to me. It was a fun movie, but it was all about effects in my opinion. Take those away what you have is horrible porn-quality acting and a so-so plot and script.

Dark City did it much better and with a lot more style, I thought. There was a depth to the cinematics if you're into that kind of stuff. The jarring, off-kilter angles, just the overall visuals. I was sort of let down by the corny end battle, but not enough to take away from the movie as a whole. Plus it had Jennifer Connelly. Drool.

I'm gonna wait to see how much the movie producers are going to pay to come see ME  If they pay enough maybe I will have enough left over to go see their crap. :p

So no Star Trek lovers? If they made a movie of Arcanum would you go see it? I wanna see the Hobbit it's the only one I ever bothered to read the rest is Russian to me. I hear Harrison Ford will be doing another Indiana Jones I'll want to see that, I'd also like to see him and Tom Cruise do a movie together. What other super hero (or group of heros) would you like to see in a movie? Think they should bring Wonder Woman back? Should she get a movie? OK that's all for now :thinker:

You better be joking, sucka. I went through all the trouble of turning on my DVD player, my reciever and my TV as well as opening the DVD box, inserting the disc into my player and fast forwarding through the preview to bring you the knowledge.

Hmmm... I don't remember seeing an actual trailer as such, either. Just the preview with bits of the trailer in it. I'll have to look again...

And Jennifer Connelly... Double Drool! The best body ever seen on film? Career Opportunities, Mulholland Falls, The Rocketeer, Inventing the Abbotts, The Hot Spot, Waking the Dead... sorry, I've got to go and lie down now... ;)

Pity she's lost all that weight now, but it seems that's what you have to do to win an Oscar. :(
